De enige middelbare school van Saba (Caribisch Nederland) is per direct op zoek naar een ervaren directeur-bestuurder om de ingezette verbeteringen op het gebied van bestuur, financien en onderwijskwaliteit op de school verder vorm te geven en tot uitvoer
te brengen. In deze uitdagende functie op een prachtig eiland sta je middenin de praktijk en draag je daarnaast ook op bestuursniveau bij aan de ontwikkeling van de school. Je bent een inspirerend voorbeeld voor de medewerkers, en bent in staat om ook in een
andere cultuur en in het Engels de verbinding aan te gaan met hen, de leerlingen en andere stakeholders.
Functie-eisen
- Have a proven track record in educational turnaround management, particularly in challenged or underperforming schools, on a board level.
- Have experience in crisis management and stakeholder communication to navigate sensitive issues and instill confidence in students, staff, and parents.
- Have knowledge of the Dutch education system and strong understanding of schools regarding finances, administration and governance.
- Are able to think on a strategic level and analyze developments from a certain distance
- Are proactive, positive and have an open attitude
- Have enough time and energy to dedicate his- or herself to an adequate filling of the position
- Can critically assess their own contribution as a supervisor on an annual basis, as well as that of the Board as a whole
- Can be a sparring partner for the school with empathy and from connection and ability

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Salaris wordt bepaald op eerder ontvangen salaris in combinatie met ervaring en beschikbaarheid van de kandidaat. Daarnaast zijn vergoedingen voor reiskosten en vervoer en huisvesting op het eiland beschikbaar.
