Tijdelijke biologiedocent gezocht op Saba!
Op Saba is tot het einde van het schooljaar een vacature voor biologiedocent, met als gewenst de mogelijkheid tot verlenging. Wie wil er nu niet werken met keerkringvogels die om je leslokaal vliegen!
Vacature omschrijving
De vacature bestaat uit 20 lesuren verspreid over jaar 1, jaar 2 en jaar 4, en het praktijkonderwijs. Aanvullende taken kunnen aan de vacature worden toegevoegd bij interesse. Klasgrootte loopt van 2-20 leerlingen per klas.
Het dynamische team van de school bestaat uit mensen uit alle leeftijdscategorieen en uit verschillende culturen. De voertaal op de school is Engels.
In eerste instantie zoeken we iemand die invulling kan geven aan de vacature tot het einde van het schooljaar '24-'25, maar als er interesse is in verlenging, dan behoort dat ook tot de opties.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Biology, Science Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification/license for secondary education – or in the process achieving one.
- Proven experience teaching Biology and/or Integrated Science to secondary school students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
- Holiday pay and end-of-year bonus.

- Holiday according to holiday schedule of SCS educational staff.
- A temporary appointment until at least the end of the school year ’24-’25, with an option of extension

Sollicitatieprocedure
De vacature staat open tot 15 maart, maar sluit zodra een geschikte kandidaat gevonden is. Na het opsturen van een motivatiebrief en CV vindt bij geschiktheid een gesprek plaats met het bestuur. Bij wederzijds enthousiasme kan verder worden gegaan naar een arbeidsvoorwaardengesprek.
